About Me

I'm a writer specializing on issues in K-12 and higher education. My stories have appeared in Harvard's Ed. Magazine, U.S. News and World Report, School Library Journal, the XQ Institute, and The Grade. I've also produced podcasts for the University of Chicago and Interlochen Public Radio. ​I hold a master's from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Before becoming a writer, I worked as a classroom teacher and ran a maritime education program on the island of Nantucket. Originally from New England, I currently live in Brooklyn, NY, with my wife, daughter, and a cat-by-marriage. ​
